About Louisiana Music Partners™
WE BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF MUSIC.
We believe that Louisiana music and Louisiana music creators are the state’s greatest natural and renewable resource, which have a huge impact on our economy. We also know that our industry is poised for growth and with good public policy and investment it could be a leading industry for the state. Louisiana Music Partners™ (a Louisiana not-for-profit 501(c)(6) corporation) was created to speak with a unified voice representing the entire music ecosystem in Louisiana. Our mission is to help Louisiana’s music industry realize its full potential, expanding income-generating opportunities beyond the live music sector, to promote both job growth and enhanced economic impact in our state!
A Growing Economic Powerhouse
The music industry in Louisiana is an economic driver contributing $1.4 Billion to the state’s GDP and employing over 30,000 Louisianians. Our state enjoys the most vibrant festival and live music industry in the world. We have identified significant growth opportunities in other sectors of the music industry ecosystem that are poised for growth, particularly regarding intellectual property creation and monetization.
The US music market size is estimated at USD 30.70 billion in 2024, and is expected to reach USD 45.65 billion by 2029, growing at a CAGR of 8.54% during the forecast period (2024-2029). The music industry has reached a new level of internationalization and opportunity for the Louisiana music industry. Recognizing this economic importance and incentivizing growth in the Louisiana’s music industry support system for developing music industry careers is vital for our current and future music creators and the economy of Louisiana.
